It looks like I have lost all of my pictures from the past on this blog. It makes me super sad but I am ready to move on. :)

So what is going on in the Steen family you ask?? Well let me catch you up a bit.
Sage is going to have a baby in October. a little girl she is going to name Evelyn. She posts all about in on her blog. With cute pictures of her belly and ultra sounds!!
Craziness with Zach and Sage
They have been married for 3 years now and are living very happily in Cedar City, Utah.

Amber is living in Scottsbluff, Nebraska with her husband Marcus. They are both working at Menards, its a store like Lowes or Home Depot, until school starts up again in the fall then Marcus will be back in school and playing Basketball. Amber will continue working at Menards.

Lacey is busy working grounds at Nauvoo Restoration. She is planning on having her car paid off in September and moving to Utah to go to school. It really freaks me out that we will soon be empty nesters. I sure am glad I really like my husband! ;)

Making stuff in March 2012

Well there isn't a lot to say about March except I am going to try to blog more often so I figures I better come up with something. Lacey is working hard to finish school so that she can leave Nauvoo and go to school. She wants to start out as a CNA and then continue on with her nursing degree. I am super proud of her. She is such a hard worker and super self motivated. She can do anything she puts her mind to.

Marty and I both ended up with a bad case of the flu. Marty's actually turned to pneumonia. We spent a lot of time resting. The only good part about that was I was able to spend some time working on jewelry.

I have been asked to put some of my stuff in a booth at a local talent show. As you know I have a booth in the Riverside Boutique at the Fudge Factory. I love making jewelry and this talent show gave me a chance to make some things I LOVE but that aren't very practical to sale. The Talent show is next weekend here in Nauvoo. I will take pictures when I get it set up to show you what I end up with. Here are a few pictures of some of the items.

Catching up!! New Years Eve 2012

Lacey threw a New Years Eve party. She really put a lot of money into it. She bought black lights. Glow sticks. Hats and party favors. Oh and Food!! She even had a friend DeeJay DJ for her. There were kids coming and going all night but when Midnight arrived there were over 50 kids drinking sparkling grape juice and toasting the New Year!! Super fun party!!

It was kinds hard to get good pictures but the ones I got give you a good idea of what it was like. The best part was Lacey stayed up and cleaned up. Great kid!!

Catching up! Christmas 2011

I have been such a slacker! I haven't even posted Christmas and it is March!! LOL
Well I am fixing it! :)

We had a wonderful Christmas! All the kids were home. Zachary was back from Iraq and We got to spend some quality time getting to know Marcus. I just have to say everyone fits in just like they have always been part of our family forever. We had a wonderful time together and hated to see everyone go back to their own homes. I love my family!

Christmas Eve we made cookies for Santa!

We opened our traditional Pajamas on Christmas Eve. I was just glad they fit everyone.

Then we did our family Nativity. We put the names of the characters in a bowl. We each drew a a paper and had 5 minutes to get our costumes. Marty was the angel, Marcus, Sage and I were the 3 wise men, Zachary was the shepherd and the dogs were sheep, Amber was Mary and Lacey was Joseph. It was really fun. The costumes were really creative and were laughed and laughed. Then we read the the story of the Birth of Christ in the New Testament. It really was a wonderful Christmas Eve.
Christmas Morning was just as fun. Everyone got fun gifts but the best part was spending time together. I can't believe my grown up children woke me up at 6am. They still get excited about Santa Clause! I've said it before and I will say it again...I LOVE MY FAMILY!!

Over the week we went and played Basketball with Marcus a few times. He was in the middle of his season and we helped as much as we could. It was actually a lot of fun!! Yes I played Ball! :)

Marcus bought Amber a new shotgun for Christmas. We went out to our good friend's Dana and Jim Tripp's property to shoot clay pigeons. It was really cold but we had a blast!! Marty taught our girls to shoot since they were really young and the son-in-laws are fine tuning their wives skills. :) Marty couldn't be prouder! We had so much fun.

When the kids went home I cried like a baby. I am so proud of them all. The best Christmas present I got this year was spending time with my family and seeing the friendship and love that my children have for each other. They are such good friends and spending time together is so wonderful. Every moment was priceless! Heavenly Fathers plan of happiness is truly based on the love and commitment of a family. I am truly happy and I am so grateful for my beautiful family!
